I will be providing updates on our friend Cathy's brave journey and battle with Cancer. I know she will win! Please share your well wish's for her on here. She can check these when she can and I will be making a notebook for her as well for when she isn't up to reading them. We have enjoyed traveling and having many adventures with our pugs to the shows and even Argentina! Here she is showing her pug Zac Attack at the show the weekend before her big surgery which was Monday July 19th, 2010.

The Dr's Report
The Dr. came and spoke with Cathy and Kim today and explained it is actually 2 types of Cancer that Cathy has which is aggressive and unusual. She is starting a Chemo regimen which will last 15 weeks and includes 3 days of Chemo and 18 days off and 3 days of Chemo and 18 days off over the 15 weeks. Kim has picked up some maps so they can take some trips in the motor-home with some pugs Once Cathy is feeling up to it.
For those who would like to send Flowers it would be nice if they could arrive Monday at their house as Cathy should be home then. Her address is

I will be spending about 3 1/2 hours with her tomorrow and reading from the Blog and other nice notes sent for her. She so loves these things and it puts quite the smile on her face. Thank you for posting them for her!

Kim and Cathy, I'll send you a couple of those CarTours we did. They're easy trips, close to home and lots of fun. A new way to see the everyday stuff -- Rainier, Olympic, St. Helens, Columbia River, etc. They're good roads and you'll be fine in the rv on them. I can just see Louis sitting between the seats supervising!

ReplyDeleteCathy,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for the time we spent at Eukanuba last year and the chance to know you more. You were such a friend to include me in all the fun events of the club. Even dragging our carts over in the rain together after missing the alarm was special!!
I am wishing the best for you through your treatment. I hear eating toast with peanut butter on it is good for your energy!!
Let your pug family help you pull through with their smiling faces to great you every day. They are just one more wonderful thing to live for.
Many big hugs dear friend,
Karen
