After the Surgery Day 1

Today was a tough day for Cathy. She did enjoy the well wishes I shared with her and told her I will be putting them together in a binder for her as well. My daughter Alecia and her friend have done a wonderful job staying at Kim and Cathy's and taking care of all the pugs so Kim can focus on Cathy. I was able to spend about 3 1/2 hours with Cathy and Kim today. Cathy and Kim will be meeting with the Specialist in the morning and he will describe in detail her treatment. A few of us came up with what we was an important list of questions for the specialist as well. The thought is she will be starting Chemo tomorrow as they cannot waste anytime in her treatment. All though she was able to have the hysterectomy the Cancer is aggressive and has spread more than we had hoped. Cathy is hanging on to all the prayers and positive thoughts which is very important right now. I will write more tomorrow after Kim calls with the report from the Specialist.

  1. Thank you for doing this Blog Diana! Keeping connected with Cathy and Kim is very important to many of us now. And this seems the best way to do that.

  2. Thank you Rebecca. It is nice to have a central place to do this and something to print out for Cathy as well. She loves all of the wishes and will read them over and over.

  3. Thank you again for doing this Diana. You and Alicia have done a beautiful thing. We are also so concerned for Cathy and Kim and you keep us connected and informed even though we can't be by her bedside. Please let both of them know that all of us in this dog show family are pulling for them and continue with our prayers and positive thoughts.

  5. Morning Sunshine! Hunter is outside playing in the mud...gah. We've had soooo much rain here it's insane. The only one who will not play in the mud as a matter of course is BV. But Smoke and Hunter, I swear they have contests about who gets to have the full-body mudpack treatment! If he had his way, he'd come run up and down the bed you're in w/ muddy paws to make you feel better. Love yer face babe.

  6. I just got to my office here in NYC after a moderately unpleasant train ride. I was sitting next to some spindly young woman who was sprawling her skinny legs all into my seat space.

I decided to block out her twiggy annoyingness by praying for you, Kim, your doctors, your nurses and all the technicians. I specifically requested angels for nurses, so if that order does not get delivered as requested, please let me know and I will have them sent back and ask God to try harder.

You and Kim are in our hearts, my friend.
